NEW PIECES// DECEMBER 2013

December always seems to crash upon me like a barreling freight train. Once Thanksgiving passes, we have a string of family birthdays, plus the craziness of holiday sales in the shop, and the preparations for Christmas.  I actually love the busy-ness of this time of year-- the rush keeps me distracted from the cold weather and the house seems to buzz with excited energy.

I've been listing new pieces in our shop like a madwoman-- we got a box of beautiful rings and bracelets from our dear friend/shop partner Laura in Peru, and I've spent the past week photographing, editing, and listing them all. I've always been working on some new earrings and headbands-- hoping to get them into the shop in time for the Christmas sale.

LAUNCHING A DREAM

Today I officially opened our new Etsy shop! It feels so good to see this dream come to fruition, to know that I followed through and didn't let fear and doubt bring me down.

I have so many dreams for this new little shop-- opening it has given me a huge charge of energy and inspiration and I want to keep creating and keep bringing dreams to life. I still have a few more prints to add, and so many more that I can't wait to get onto paper.

But for now, I'm going to take a deep breath, send this baby off into the cyber universe, and enjoy my weekend!!

PAINTINGS/ PRINTS

I've set the next full moon as the release date for the new paintings and prints we'll be offering in the shop, so for the next two weeks, I'll be previewing them here.

I've had so much fun getting back in to painting. It was my first love, but something that fell by the wayside during the years of travel and then new mama-hood. It feels good to express things that don't really come out easily through jewelry making-- I love that I have more than one outlet for my creative energy now!

I'm loving these shots from the photo shoot for our winter collection!

We've been experimenting with new stones and textures... this Pyrite Macrame Bracelet  is especially unique and funky. I love the rawness of the pyrite (fool's gold) and the fact that it's a powerful healing stone. 

Beads, beads, and more beads! We've been having fun adding wild textures to our new pieces, like this Quartz and Tiger's Eye Macrame Bracelet. The sharp lines of the quartz contrast so nicely with the smooth tigers eye beads.
